BOOKING PROCEDURE:
1. Please read all information on the www.la-vieille-ferme.co.uk web site carefully!
2. Check the availability page for the accommodation you are interested in.
3. Confirm the availability by completing the online enquiry form
or email us at: info@la-vieille-ferme.co.uk.
4. Submission of the Booking Form presupposes that the Booking Conditions below have been read.
5. If booking a week of accommodation please complete online booking form.
6. If booking a week of accommodation a deposit (£100 pp/100 euros per person)
or full payment is required.
7. If booking a week of accommodation, remember to include your Security Deposit at the time of booking (£250/250 euros).
8. For self-catered & flexibly catered weekly bookings a cleaning charge of 50 £/euro (Farmhouse Apt.) & £35/euro (Studio Apt.) is payable at the time of booking.
9. Chambre d'Hote bookings: complete any relevant sections on the Booking form, specify dates, sign and forward the Booking Form with a 25% deposit.
10. Payment can be made by Sterling or Euro Cheque payable to: JE & GA Patching, and sent to us at La vieille Ferme, Vallon d'en Haut, 74340 Samoens, France,
or by Bank Transfer also. Details on request.
11. Please remember:
- No booking is secure until Deposit or full payment arrives so email/post your booking form asap.
- To include your Security Deposit.
- To include cleaning charge, if not taking the Fully Catered option.
- To read about your catering options, Catered/Self-Catered/Flexible catering, on our website, then specify your choice on the Booking Form.
- To specify any Dietary Allergies on the Booking Form before arrival.
BOOKING CONDITIONS:
Deposits & Confirmation:
To secure the booking a deposit of £100 pp/100 euros per person or full payment by Sterling or Euro.
Cheque payable to:
JE & GA Patching, Vallon' d'en Haut, Samoens 74340, France.
Bank transfer:
On receipt of your holiday deposit, we will send you confirmation of booking showing the arrangements booked, the balance and when it is due. The contract exists between you and us and this contract in all circumstances is governed by these booking conditions.
Arrival & Departure Times:
Your accommodation becomes available from 14.00 hrs on the day of arrival & you must be clear by 10.00 am on your day of Departure.
Balance:
Full payment of the balance as shown on your confirmation invoice is due 8 weeks prior to departure. or immediately if the booking is within 8 weeks of departure. If the payment is not received at this point, we reserve the right to cancel your holiday and levy cancellation charges as detailed below.
Security Deposit:
A deposit cheque of £250/250 euros will be paid on booking. This will be held, not cashed and returned in the week after departure providing no damage has occurred. On departure the group leader will be asked to sign an inventory stating that no damage has occurred. This will be checked at the time by your host but we reserve the right to make you aware after your departure of damage that went unnoticed or was hidden at the time of departure and/or extra cleaning.
Cleaning:
Cleaning is included in the Fully Catered package but not in the Self-Catered nor flexibly catered package. A approriate cleaning charge will be levied for cleaning if the Appt. is booked on a Self-catered or Flexibly catered weekly booking.
Amendments By You:
These must be confirmed in writing. They will come into effect on the day they are received. You hereby agree to indemnify us for any reasonable expenses incurred in making an amendment.
Alterations By Us:
In the unlikely event that any alteration is made by us which is deemed to be significant (for example a change of dates or change in accommodation standards), you have the right to cancel the holiday if you wish. Should you cancel in such circumstances you will receive a full refund.
In all significant cases we will pay you compensation as detailed below:

Please note that we shall not be liable for any refund should we be forced to cancel or change your holiday due to circumstances amounting to Force Majeure. Such circumstances shall include, but are not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorism, industrial disruption, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, adverse weather, governmental action and similar events beyond our control.
Cancellation By You:
Should you cancel your holiday for whatever reason charges will be levied as detailed below. Cancellations will come into effect the day written notice is received by us and will be refunded as shown.

If no written notice of cancellation is received and you do not travel, cancellation is deemed to have been received on the day of departure.
Your Responsibilities:
As part of this contract you hereby agree to guarantee payment for any chargeable services requested by any member of your group both before and during your holiday. We reserve the right to recover from you the cost of breakages, damage to accommodation etc caused with or without intent by you or any member of your party. We do not accept liability for financial loss or damage to property suffered by you other than due to the negligence of us or our employees.
Health, Passports & Visas:
EU Nationals are advised to hold a full passport valid for the duration of the holiday and for at least six months after your return journey. Vaccinations are not currently required to enter France. Non-EU Nationals are advised to contact your local French Consulate for further information.
Transport:
It is your responsibility to organise your own group's travel. We cannot accept responsibility for guests missing flights for any reason or mislaying or destroying travel documents and no credit or refund will be given if you fail to take up a component of your holiday as a result. We are not responsible for any flight delays.
Problems:
If you are ever unhappy with any aspect of your holiday, you must address your complaint immediately to the apartment host. In the unlikely event that your problem cannot be resolved locally, you must inform us in writing of your complaint within 30 days of your return so that any rights to compensation can be examined. The contract between you and us is subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Prices:
These prices are quoted for current season will not be effected by any currency fluctuations. We reserve the right to change the price of unsold holidays at any time. Please check the applicable price of your chosen holiday at the time of booking.
Skiing With La vieille Ferme:
It is the responsibility of you and your group to judge the suitability of each area in which you ski. If you or any member of your group ski in a location on the recommendation of or accompanied by any representative of La vieille Ferme, we will not be liable for any injuries howsoever caused.
